The Brains Behind the Bang
Dan De Sausmarez, Director

He set up Serious Artist Management in the mid-nineties, a company managing international djs – Judge Jules, Norman Jay MBE, and Sonique etc… He helped develop Sonique from fledging DJ to Brit Award winner (best British female solo artist) who sold over 2 million records on the Serious / Universal Records label.
Through Dan’s own promoting experience he set up the events arm of the group, Serious Promotions, developing the legendary club night ‘Serious’ at the Cross nightclub which ran for over 10 years. National club tours followed, collaborations with club brands ‘Golden’, ‘Slinky’ and ‘Cream’ ensued, tying in sponsorship activations to support one off, national and international events with various brands – Vodka Source, Elida Faberge, Budweiser, Red Stripe, Smirnoff, Dj Hero, Havana Club, Wray & Nephew, and Puma.
He managed Norman Jay MBE for over 20 years, worldwide dj bookings, brand endorsements, all sponsorship, compilation releases, promoted events, radio shows and development of Norman’s legendary ‘Good Times Sound System’at The Notting Hill Carnival.
A dj and music programing expert enabled him to work on a wide variety of events, launches and private parties for Models One, Select Model Agency, GQ Magazine, BBC3, Motorola, Celine Dion, Sony Music, James Brown, Seal & Heidi Klum, BskyB, Vivienne Westwood, MTV, Nintendo, Fred Perry, Puma and Channel 5.
Andy Hackett, Director
Having organised his own events and parties since the age of 17, Andy decided to move to London to complete a degree in sound engineering in 2003.
While studying at University, he joined Serious Records/Dusted Management and worked alongside Judge Jules, preparing and editing music for his dance show on BBC Radio 1. Here Andy gained both the knowledge and contacts needed to take his career to the next level and, in 2005, he teamed up with Dan De Sausmarez to help promote Norman Jay’s Good Times brand across London and the UK.
While continuing to hold down two other jobs, in 2007 Andy began to promote parties across Europe with Ivor Novello Award Winner and Universal Records director Simon Belofsky.
Prior to turning his full attention to Dynamite, Andy planned and hosted well over 100 parties throughout the UK and Europe, including Ibiza and Mallorca, where he toured with multi-award winning artists such as Tinie Tempah, Example, Jessie J and Dizzee Rascal, while working in collaboration with Capital FM.
